A Cold Hike

The kids and I went on a short hike toady. It was very cold and a little muddy so we didn't stay long.
The first picture is of Annie laughing at the dirt on her hands. When she would fall down she would look at her hands and just laugh, she did this like twenty times.

More Christmas Morning Photos

Annie got a baby and a crib for Christmas, but she did not want the baby in the crib. She kept throwing the baby out and getting in her self. Nathan was trying to help by telling her the baby goes in the crib, but this just made Annie very upset, as you can see in the photo.
Nathan got a little tool set and he loves the drill. He fixes his Mack truck with it and anything else he can get his hands on, including Annie's hair.

Opening presents

Both the kids got soccer balls from Santa. That is really the only one thing Nathan asked for, and when he saw that he actually got one he was very excited. Annie got one too, because Santa knew that she would want to play with Nathan's and it would create fights. (Although you can see Annie with Nathan's in the background of one the photos).
Nathan also got a Mack truck, that he really loves, its probably his favorite. Annie got a toy car as well but she is just into the kitchen.

Christmas Day

Nathan awoke very early this morning (5:00) and came into bed with us. He fell back to sleep but once he woke up again he was ready for Christmas.
He told us he heard Santa's bells during the night and heard him say "ho, ho ho!" He wanted us to wake up Annie so we could go open presents. I didn't think he would really get the whole Santa thing this year, but he did.
The first thing they saw was the kitchen which they played with forever. Nathan seemed a little overwhelmed opening his gifts and Annie just didn't really care.

More Christmas Eve

Nathan helped put out the cookies and milk for Santa, and left him a note. We left reindeer food outside as well. We also hung their stockings before they went to bed.

Christmas Eve Pajamas

These are the kids in their new P.J.'s. They love them, and are very hyper.

Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve, we went to a Chinese Buffet for dinner, it was lots of fun.
After that we went to the Temple so we could walk around again, but the snow was really wet and we didn't want to get soaked. Nathan had a fit that we did not get out. He kept saying "Temple,Baby Jesus!".
When we got home we popped popcorn and watched a new movie. Nathan is really excited about Santa and kept looking outside for him.
They then opened their pajama presents before their baths. They both loved them. Nathan was so excited he ran upstairs to the bathroom and laid out his pajamas in his bedroom (we usually have to do that).

More fun in the snow

On Friday, Nathan and Annie played out in the snow again This time they actually were brave enough to step on the snow. Nathan even tried to make a snow angel.

Snowman

It snowed again today, so I went out and made the kids a little snowman. Nathan and Annie watched me from the window.
After awhile Nathan wanted to come out. But he still does not want to have anything to do with walking on the snow. When I said to come over next to the snowman he started screaming "No, no, no!", and almost in tears.
The picture with Nathan in it shows how close he would get to the snowman.

Snow in St. George

It has snowed all day today. The kids love looking at it out the window. After dinner I put their coats on so they could go play in it. Nathan had to wear Grandpa's gloves because I couldn't find his.
When they got outside they just kind of stood there. They didn't know what to do. I tried to tell them to go walk in it, but they wouldn't do it.
It is also becoming extremely difficult to get a good picture of Annie because she will not hold still. Nathan loves to turn his back to the camera now too.

Annie in the Wind

Saturday night was very windy so I let the kids go out and play in the wind. Annie loved it. She just kept running back and forth while yelling some sort of gibberish.

Saturday Hike

Nathan and I went hiking today on the Chukawala trail. He likes to go on this hike so we can go see "Mater". There is this really old car that was abandoned a  long time ago. Nathan calls him "Mater" because he looks like Mater on Disney's Cars.
He also likes to pick up and collect bullet shells, since a lot of people go up there to shoot their guns. Today we found a lot of Luger 9mm shells. He kept hem in his pocket.
After hiking we went to McDonalds and Nathan had a Happy Meal.
