Frogs

I took the kids frog hunting on Saturday morning. We only caught 3, but we had a good time.

Annie named the first one "Balloons" (pictured in Nathan's hand), one was named "Jumper" and the other never received a name.

Nathan caught a frog the night before named "Ribbet-Ribbet" who was hurt and became really sick the next day, so Nathan changed his name to "White-White"(the frog was turning white in color). So we made him a habitat to live in and nursed him back to health and Sunday morning "White-White" was "Ribbet-Ribbet" once again.

Sunday morning we took all the frogs back to the river, except the unnamed frog, she escaped and was never seen again.

Nathan got a new AT-AT walker and a Joker Fun House for his birthday. I was so sick at this point that I was lying down on the ground most of the time.

Here is a picture of Nathan's Transformers cake that he requested. He didn't want any words on it, just the Transformers. Everybody except Nathan had the stomach flu and was unable to eat. Nathan said it was "really good cake" though. (Sorry about the photo quality, they were taken on our IPod).

Ensign Peak

We hiked to the top of Ensign Peak while in SL, and the kids got a real cool view of the city with their binoculars that they brought with them. They were so tired by the time we got to the top that I had to cary both of them down in my arms. I have to do that every time we walk home from the park, so I have had a lot of practice.

Utah Buffalo

On our way back from hiking at Ensign Peak we stopped across from the capital building. The kids saw these buffalos and wanted to get their pictures with them. The third photo was not my idea, they went right under it and pretended the buffalo was peeing on them. (Yes, thats is what you think it is that Nathan has his hand on.)

Hot Weather

It was very hot today, I think it got to around 107 degrees. So I got the pool and sprinkler out for the kids and they had lots of fun playing it. Annie looked really stylish in her grandma sunglasses. And Big Noah was looking to cause some trouble in his cool dude glasses. Nathan had fun running around, he was racing our ten-year old neighbor girl and winning.

Washing My Car

I took these photos a month or so ago and forgot to post them. I showed the kids how to wash my car, I supervised of course. It was kind of like the guy on that new Toyota Sienna commercial.

Seven years ago today Adam and I were married! Wow, I can't believe seven years have really gone by since then! Within those seven years Adam has graduated from school, we've moved to St. George, bought a house, and had three kids! Our lives are CRAZY with work, kids, the kid's activities, training for races and just trying to enjoy the ride! I thought this picture was fitting in describing us as a couple (Honestly, this is the only picture of the both of us together that's recent, we were just goofing around with the computer) we're a little bit whacky, but we really mesh well together and over the last seven years we've become part of each other! So Happy Anniversary my better half and Sweetheart! I love you so much Adam and always will!

Mattress Surfing

Ice Cream Man

The kids finally were able to buy some ice cream from the ice cream man or "Izzy" as they call him. Nathan first got his Spongebob pop while Annie was napping. But the next day they were both able to get one. Nathan got a Batman pop, and Annie got a Pink Panther pop, and I was offered drugs. Seriously, I was.

Air Museum

St. George has a new Warbird museum at the airport and Saturday was the grand opening. Nathan and I went and checked it out. They only have about 5 jets currently, they are all Korean War era jets, Chinese and Russian MIG 15's and 17's. Inside the museum they have a lot of little replica planes from WW2 era that Nathan thought were really cool. The little red thing in Nathan's hand (and mouth) is a little toy MIG they gave him.

Nathan tested out his "future Daddy" skills today. He insisted on feeding Noah his rice cereal during dinnertime. Nathan even included verbal encouragement during Noah's meal like"mmm...yummy!" Noah loved the attention (and food) from his brother and I enjoyed watching this special monent between my boys. -S

We found a desert tortoise

After hiking in the red cliff desert reserve for three years now about 2-3x/week, we finally found a desert tortoise. It was fairly small about the size of Nathan's fist, I don't know if it was full grown or not. The kids loved playing with him. Annie tried feeding him some flowers. They especially liked touching his shell and watching hide inside it. We also found some old animal bones, looks like a big squirrel mandible. -A

Playing at the black bridge

The kids, especially Nathan love playing at the "black bridge" which is just down the trail from us. We go there about once a day now and just play by the stream, catching frogs and butterflies, chasing ducks, and making boats. -A

Big Noah's rice cereal

The first picture is when Annie snuck into the closet and pulled out the chips to munch on. Nathan helped himself too. (We usually don't let them snack on chips, thats why it was kind of funny).

Puzzle Whiz

Nathan is really into puzzles and is very good at them. He has about 6 of them and loves to do them all. He concentrates very hard while doing them and usually does not say much while he is doing them. Annie likes to do them but struggles a little so Nathan will help her finish. (He usually has his shirt on!)

Frogs!

Nathan and I went hunting frogs today and we did very well. We caught 9 frogs in about 45 minutes.

I took Nathan yesterday and we only caught 1 "sickly" frog. Nathan is improving on his catching skills (like being quiet while we sneak up on the frog).

Nate's first day of Preschool!

Nate started preschool today! He was excited and nervous. It was pretty emotional for me (being his Mother and all) to "kick him out of the nest." However, I think Annie ended up having the harder time letting her brother and best friend go! She bawled hysterically for her "brudder" the whole way home!

Here are more photos with Nathan and Noah (We still have not been able to get Annie close enough to him for a picture). We gave him a bath last night too, which he hated. This was the first time the kids had really heard him cry. Annie put her hands on her ears and went and sat under the table.

The kids and I played pirates yesterday. My bed was my pirate ship and they came and took it over.

We listened to the Pirates of the Caribbean music as we played. Nathan really got into it.

Nathan was very excited to see mom and baby Noah. Annie did not want to have her picture taken with her brother. Thats why there is no photos with her. She laughed at him a few times and then went off to play with her toys.

Nathan loves Noah very much. He is always asking to hold him and loves to talk to him.

Snow in St. George

It snowed in St. George on Saturday. It wasn't much but the kids loved going out and playing in it. Nathan liked throwing snowballs and we were able to make a little snowman as well. The first photo is of the kids waking up to the snow on the ground.

Temple Lighs

We went to the temple to watch their nativity scene and look at their Christmas lights. Nathan was very concerned the entire time because he thought Santa was close by, it makes him nervous. (Thats why he wouldn't face the camera).

Putting up the Christmas Tree

We put up the Christmas tree last night, and the kids really enjoyed it. When we finished and turned on the lights Annie raised her arms in the air and yelled "It's Christmas!"

Gosh, I love this kid! I just have to post some of his funny (without meaning to be) comments!

1. Nathan loves the band Coldplay and recently, while driving in the car, we were listening to one of their songs. He then surprised me by asking "Mom, will you sing this song to me for bedtime?"

2. Nathan loves to play with other kids and is surprisingly very outgoing! While at the park, Nathan spotted another little boy his age and promptly ran up to him and said " I'm Nathan Adam Greer, will you play with me?"

3. He is getting into the Christmas spirit, even if it is six weeks too early! Last Saturday Adam and I could hear Nathan stirring in his room and then heard him run downstairs and then back up into our room. He then said "nope there's no presents downstairs." Hopefully he wasn't too disappointed! :)

Our ward had a Trunk or Treat/ Halloween party was this past Wednesday. Nate had fun playing the games, and pigging out on cupcakes and playing with Batman. Annie on the other hand wasn't feeling so hot (due to the new asthma medicine she is taking) and was content to sit in my lap all night long. P.S. No, I do not have anything smuggled under my shirt! That's my huge preggo belly folks!
